Mrs. Vivian Rorent (scam alert)

Please share this scam alert with your friends on social media.

This is a typical example of the old “dying widow scam.” The scammer, using the name “Vivian Rorent,” says he has inherited a fortune but is dying of cancer and has no one to bequeath it to. Would you help by distributing the money to worthy orphans? Alas, it’s just one more example of the old-fashioned advance fee fraud that’s been around for many years.

Dearest one in Christ Jesus how are you doing today? however is not mandatory nor will I in any manner compel you to honour against your will. I am Mrs Vivian Rorent from United Kingdom.

I married to Mr.Rorent Betes from Toronto Canada who worked with Canadian Embassy here in Cote d’Ivoire for nine years before he died in the year 2011.

Before his death we were both born again Christian. Since his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against.

When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $4.5 Million in a bank.

Recently, my DOCTOR told me that I would not last for the next Eight months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a Orphanage or good Christian that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in.

I want a Church organization or good person that will use this fund for orphanages, widows, propagating the word of God and to endeavor that the house of God is maintained.

l took this decision because I don’t have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians not even good at all because they are the one that killed my husband in other to have all my late husband properties and I don’t want my husband’s efforts to be used by unbelievers. I don’t want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly way.

This is why I am taking this decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord.Exodus 14 VS 14 says that “the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace”. With God all things are possible.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Bank . I will also issue you an authority letter that will prove you the present beneficiary of this fund. I want you to always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd.

My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that Wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and Truth. Please always be prayerful all through your life.

Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I Stated here in.

Hoping to receive your response immediately.

This is a typical example of a “dying millionaire scam.” Poor Vivian Dikko (or rather rich Vivian Dikko) is dying of cancer, and she needs your help in giving away her fortune to needy orphans. Who wouldn’t want to help needy orphans? Unfortunately, “Vivian” isn’t a dying millionaire — she (if indeed she’s a she) is just another email scammer trying to pick your pocket.

PEACE BE WITH YOU,

Receiving this message might sound as a surprise to you, please do accept it as a blessing from God made possible through a woman with a good and sincere heart towards the poor orphans. Through these projects millions will be positively touched as with God nothing is impossible. I have this strong desire to help the poor orphans suffering each day, but this dream cannot be realised as a result of my health, which does not improve, hence I do not know whether I will survive having undergone different surgical operations, which has kept me hospitalized. Right now, life gives me no choice, but to answer the call (death); my prayers each day is to have a place in Heaven. I have suffered a lot as a result of this incurable sickness (terminal cancer)! Above all, I do not have a child as a result of my sterility.

The only help I need from you at this point is to be in constant prayers with me as I believe you have an open heart towards the poor orphans and do believe in GOD. I would be so much happy to see that my funds (Ten million EUROS) are properly used to help the less privileged etc before leaving this world as this will be a great relieve for me and my soul. This is a huge responsibility, but I pray that God gives you the strength to handle it. You will also be highly recompensated.

Once I get your reply, I will put you in contact with the institution in charge of the transaction in order to start all necessary procedures so as to enable you to have possession of my funds as soon as possible before my next surgical operations.

I looking forward to reading from you.

Mrs. Elizabeth Schubert, Dying Widow (scam alert)

Please share this scam alert with your friends on social media.

This is a classic example of the old “dying widow scam” complete with all the trimmings: a rich late husband, poor orphans, a few weeks to live, and Biblical invocations. (See more examples of dying widow scams.) This example is better written than most, and because it isn’t in broken English it just may trick a few people — don’t fall into the trap!

Accra,Republic of Ghana.

Greetings !

I am Mrs.Elizabeth Schubert now undergoing medical treatment.I am married to Dr.Schubert who worked with German Embassy in Republic of Ghana before he died in the year 2006.

We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both born again Christians. I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home, which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of US$6,500,000.00 with a Bank in West Africa, this money is still with the Bank.

Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not Last for the next three months due to cancer and what disturbs me most is my stroke. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to church or better still a Christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in.

I want a church or individual that will use this money to fund churches, orphanages and widows propagating the word Of God and to ensure that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that blessed is the hand that giveth. I took this decision because I don’t have any child that will inherit this money.

I cannot rely on family and closest relatives any more, as they did not show responsible behavior when I entrusted part of my wealth to them to distribute to charitable organizations but instead used the money for their personal needs.

To prevent any more mishaps, my attorney will act as a check, monitoring every aspect of the Charity organizations.

I sincerely request for your assistance in this humanitarian work. I want the bank to transfer the fund to your bank account so that you will use 80% of the fund to help the following people:

1, Motherless babies.
2, Widows.
3, Disable people.

The 20% of the fund is for you and your family, if you will accept to do this humanitarian work. You will promised me that you will not disappoint me when the fund will be transferred to your bank account there in your country, and you will also assured me that you will use the 80% of the money for the said purpose.

Reply to me urgently if you are interested in this transaction because any delay to your response will give me a room to look for another reliable person for the same purpose, hoping to hear from you.

Whatever the case might be, just put me in prayers at all times.

May the almighty God bless you.

Who is Sister Justina Marthin?

This is a classic example of the “dying widow scam.” A wealthy foreign businessman died and left his widow a fortune. She is now dying, and needs someone to dispose of her estate. Wouldn’t you like to help? She can give you a percentage of the money if you like. She’s a Christian, so you know you can trust her. Alas, it’s a scam from beginning to end: there’s no wealthy businessman and no dying widow. If you respond to the message she’ll be delighted to hear from you, and say she only needs you to send the banker’s fees to finalize the money transfer. Once she’s got those “fees” in her hand, you’ll never hear from her again.

The Dying Widow Cancer Scam

One of the most common types of advance fee frauds is the “widow dying of cancer” scam, and the format of the message below is typical. “Mrs. Nadia Edward” was married to a wealthy man who is now dead, and they have no children. “Mrs. Nadia” is herself now dying of cancer, and she needs help giving away her millions. She is a very religious person, so you know you can trust her. (These messages almost always include a religious component.) If you offer to assist her, she’ll tell you that you only need to send a small amount of cash to her so the funds can be released from the bank (maybe to bribe the corrupt bank officials), and then the millions will be on their way. Alas, if you go along, you’ll lose this “advance fee” and never hear from “Mrs. Nadia” again.

Nora Becky and Her Cancer (scam alert)

Please share this scam alert with your friends on social media.

This scam message is unusual in that it arrived with an attachment. Most email users know not to open unfamiliar attachments as they may contain computer viruses, but the scammer here perhaps thought the ability to format the message as though it were an actual letter was worth the chance.

In its content, this is a standard “dying woman” scam: a wealthy widow dying of cancer, who is a devout Christian, needs your help to give away her fortune to charity. Alas, there’s really no dying widow and no money on deposit. There’s just a scammer trying to pick your pocket.

The initial email text reads:

from: NORA BECKY (norrabecky@gala.net)
date: Mon, Sep 21, 2009 at 4:24 AM
subject: MANAGER/TRUSTEE

I am Mrs. Nora Becky. Presently, I’m in a hospital undergoing treatment for cancer of the lungs. Please see the attachment and read through the letter in details. Thank you.

And the attachment reads:

Greetings to you,

I am Mrs. Nora Becky, I was married to Dr. Van Becky, who worked with National Iranian South oil company (NISOC) for twenty three years before he died in the year 2006, May be you must have heard about him in the oil firm. We were married for thirty-seven years without a child. He died during one of the war in Iran. He was held hostage and slain to death by protesting youths of the region.

Before his death we were both devoted Christians. Since his death I decided not to re-marry. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum USD$8,000,000.00 (Eight Million U.S. Dollars) with a Security Company in South Africa. Presently, this money is still with the Security Company and the management just wrote me as the beneficiary to come forward to receive the money or rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf if I can not come over.

Presently, I’m with my laptop in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for cancer of the lungs. I have since lost my ability to talk and my doctors have told me that I have only less than (2) two months to live.

It is my last wish to see that this money is invested wisely and at the end of every year funds are distributed among charity organization. I want a reliable and honest person that will use this money to reach to the motherless and also less privileges, to reach to the Katrina Hurricane, the sick that has no body to take care of them, the poor and widows and to set up a Cancer research.

If you are willing and honest enough to do my wishes, as soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the lawyer who will give you the documents/details of the transaction and guide you through the process. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will prove you as the new beneficiary of this fund. You are to help me invest this fund into real estate and stocks. You will be entitled to 20% of every profit you make in a year.  Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated therein.

Please do all things possible to make my wish come through. Email: (norrabecky@gala.net)

Hoping to hearing from you soon.

Love,

Mother Nora Becky
