The Scam Hunter

This message is an example of the “abandoned bank account” type of advance fee fraud. A bank official discovers an account with millions of dollars in it, an account that no one has accessed for years. Research shows that the owner is dead and left no heirs. The money is going to be trapped forever (or perhaps revert to the corrupt government) if no one steps forward to claim it — and that’s where you come in (sucker). Just be sure to keep everything secret, and all will be well. Alas, there really is no bank account and no millions waiting to be claimed; there’s only your pocket waiting to be picked.
